Chemical composition of propranolol determined by IR spectroscopy

Abstract
In this article, we determined the composition of propanolol using FTIR
spectroscopy using a Shimadzu Prestige-21 FTIR spectrophotometer. Propanolol
contains absorption bands between wavelengths 3286 and 771cm-1. The
functional groups that make up propanolol are: OH, α-substituted naphthalene,
carboxymethyl chitosan.
